Once I realized it was more of a Harry Potter Tri Wizard tournament vibe, I tried to shift my mindset but I still found myself pushing through. I really liked how the author blended history and modern culture/viewpoints in a way that doesn't feel too forced. The ending was kind of predictable but there was a twist I didn't fully expect. The main character experiences some real emotional conflict that was surprisingly deep with multiple layers to unpeel. I was able to relate to the protagonist. The characters were fun, and the dialogue between them had me cackling at certain points! I enjoyed the plot, but the characters are what kept me going.
